Outstanding!
I had to play some dark cave sounds in the background to actualise what I was feeling while experiencing it.
This is such a good, nightmarish read.
Short and haunting. Absolutely love it.
This was amazing! The story was so good and the visuals were so clean and interesting :) I loved this. Draws you in.
A absolutely beautiful snippet- the colors, the pictures, slowly picking through the text's bight spots to get to the truth... A mystery without end.
the visuals, the way to read this, it's all so fucking good!!!
"It must just be the low light, the water and tiredness, but you swear you can see the tunnel walls pulsating.
The splash never comes."
my face when they found the core of earth
terrible joke aside, i love this game! i really really like the format of the game, the story and story-telling, this is a great work!
no engine! just html pages, styled with css… and 3 lines of javascript for the text replacement stuff.
love it! great visuals!
Bravo on a strong, consuming thing. Probably not one for before bed, or for one living right over a certain spot between stations...
The atmosphere here comes through so clearly. Striking visuals, compelling writing. That little bit of something strange in the dark that a friend of a friend swore they saw once. Love how most of the little text fold-outs elaborate on relationships and the human component, makes it feel even more like a story filtered through a teller. Super cool.
Also how did you get the photos to look like that?
thank you!
i processed all the images through https://ditherit.com/!
my favourite dither algorithm in there is atkinson it looks very nice.
ohhh I will check it out. thanks so much!
Love the aesthetic of this one. All those photos of people staring down massive tunnel systems.
The visuals are breathtaking, and the story grips you as it takes you deep, deep underground...
ages ago i had a dream i was stuck alone in an old maintenance tunnel deep deep underground and i knew there was so much solid earth between me and the nearest person and years later i still remember the feeling, a bit. which is how i know that this evokes it
the tone is impeccable, the visuals stunning and perfectly chosen, and the meandering storytelling super intriguing and wonderful!
this is what living in Perth is like
love the storytelling
all true, a friend's uncle told me
Dang, such an experience through text and images. Love this.
So atmospheric!!!
